about

This second multi-media project by Robin Slow, Brian Flintoff and Bob Bickerton is dedicated to the memory of Hirini Melbourne who has inspired so many. Robin’s paintings, which feature the theme of manu (birds), intertwine with the rich carvings of manu in Brian’s Taonga Puoro to open the door on stories of old.

Bob Bickerton, Solomon Rahui, Ariana Tikao and Holly Weir-Tikao join musical forces to create a soundscape to support the wonderful imagery.

The booklet (which is available for download at Bob's website) contains images of Robin’s paintings including explanations of each painting’s tikanga as well as a korero of the kaupapa of the project.
